Here's what the sway bar can look like installed on the front of your motor home and the whole point of a sway bar is to help control and minimize body roll and sway, which, you know, those are pretty bad on a big coach, right These are just big, huge boxes going down the road. Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2018 Tiffin Allegro Bus Motorhome- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Hellwig rear sway bar on a 2018 Tiffin Allegro Open Road. This is what your sway bar is gonna look like when it's installed. And what's really nice is it uses a lot of the factory mounting points that are already there and that does include changing out the U-bolts for new ones. And this plate will just slide over where those existing ones were. You get new hardware to bolt this up. We also, off of that new bracket, have our brackets with our polyurethane bushings, and that's something throughout this whole sway bar. more

Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2015 Tiffin Allegro Motorhome- Video

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer, and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar here on our 2015 Tiffin Allegro Open Road motor home. An anti-sway bar is a pretty much essential component of your motor home, especially when you have the Class A motor home like we do today. Basically what this does is this is gonna help with your steering, it's gonna keep you in line a little bit better, it's gonna also handle that sway as you're making tight turns or if you're up on the highway hitting the crosswinds when a semi comes by, or maybe it's just a honestly windy day and pushing you. And this is gonna help keep that body roll from happening. It's going to pull down on whatever side of your frame that's trying to lift up. So if I was making a left turn and my right starts to just pull up a little bit, I'm losing traction with my wheels, there's a good chance that you could actually tip over. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer. And today will be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar here on our 2015 Tiffin Allegro Open Road Motor Home. So rear anti-sway bars are going to give you a much more comfortable ride. The way that they work is that whenever you're starting to make that turn, maybe you have some wind 'cause you're out driving on the highway, maybe you're passing a semi and that's starting to kind of push you one way. What this does is it kind of yanks back down on that frame 'cause as you're getting kind of pushed to that side, that side of your frame's kinda lifting up and then you're losing traction with your tires. So what this does is it pulls it back down keeps you nice and straight, that way you have more contact with the road, you can make those turns a whole lot easier and kind of deal with all those crosswinds. more

Now we get a lot of questions here at etrailer.com about motor homes, especially about how to make them drive better, because once you start driving one you realize real quick, they're pretty top heavy. They've got a lot of area for the wind to catch and if you're not very comfortable driving one, it can be very nerve wracking. There's a lot of situations where the wind will start pushing us, there'd be dips in the road and the motor home doesn't react that quickly, so we end up getting a lot of body roll, fight that steering wheel and then we're exhausted by the time we get where we're going.Well, the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar is going to help alleviate a lot of that mushy feeling. It's going to help that body roll side to side, whether we're taking a turn, we hit a bump in the road or anything like that. Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Tiffin Allegro, we're going to be installing Roadmaster's Rear Anti-Sway Bar, part number, RM-1139-149. Some of the symptoms this is going to correct, when you're driving the down the road in heavy windy conditions, when the RV is rocking back and forth. You hit some bumps, it also starts to rock, and you're constantly have to do adjust to this in your steering wheel. Well, this is going to help reduce all that rocking motion, and make it much easier for you to maintain a straight line down the road. This is going to reduce driver fatigue, so you won't be as exhausted when you get to your destination.This sway bar is not going to replace your original sway bar, but it's going to work in conjunction with it, helping to further reduce sway. This is what our steering stabilizer's going to look like when it's installed. Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Tiffin Allegro Red, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer, part number RM-RBK18-RSSA.This is what our reflex stabilizer looks like when it's installed. What this is going to do, it's going to provide you stability in your steering. If you're going down the highway, say you have a crosswind, and it's pulling your RV over to another lane, and you're having to pull on that wheel the opposite direction, this is going to take the place of that and take some of that pressure off of that steering wheel that you're going to have to use. Another instance, if you had a flat tire what tends to happen is the weight tends to go to that side, this is going to remove that and keep your vehicle on the road.The inside of it's going to act like a shock. This right here, the spring, is either going to compress, or it's going to contract. When you turn, and say you turn one way, and it compresses, when you let go of the steering wheel that spring is going to force it to come back out and bring your steering wheel, and your wheels, back to straight. more

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2013 Tiffin Phaeton- Video

Today on this 2013 Tiffin Phaeton motor home with a freightliner chassis, we're going to install a Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer, part number RN-RBK18-RSSA. This is what the reflex looks like when it's installed on our RV. We've got two points of contact here. Foul point with the chassis right here underneath the shock mount. We look towards the other side. There is a contact point with the tie rod right here. As we have it installed right now, we have our wheels in a straight line. more
